Eine eher unspektakuläre Synthi-Pop-Formation der 80er Jahre war China Crisis. Ihre sanften und vertäumten Popsongs waren zwar allesamt sehr nett und vortrefflich arrangiert, aber durch die fehlenden Ecken und Kanten auf Dauer auch ziemlich einschläfernd.
